SARAJEVO, May 19 (FENA) - The Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the entity's statistical institutes, will start conducting the EU statistics on income and living conditions (EU-SILC) 2023 in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina tomorrow.
It is, in accordance with the Eurostat methodology, a repeated survey of households from a randomly selected sample from last year in order to monitor the changes that occurred in one household between two survey waves, and to observe the emergence of long-term poverty and monitor other socio-economic characteristics.
The aim of that research is to collect data on income, poverty, social exclusion, material deprivation, socio-economic characteristics of individuals and living conditions. The data will be used to obtain the main social indicators at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entities.
The survey will be conducted by the end of July this year by authorized and educated pollsters hired by the official statistical institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The collected data are confidential and in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be used exclusively for statistical purposes, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
