SARAJEVO, May 16 (FENA) - Director of the BiH Border Police, Mirko Kuprešaković, received Karlheinz Gortan, the police attaché of the Embassy of Austria in BiH, on Tuesday.
The working meeting was primarily held for the purpose of recapitulating the cooperation so far and agreeing on new directions of joint action, the Border Police of BiH announced.
During the meeting, they also discussed the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Director Kuprešaković singled out the significant activities of members of the Border Police of BiH in the past period, with the aim of suppressing cross-border crime, and pointed out that the Border Police invests maximum efforts in protecting the state border.
The press release states that the Border Police of BiH and the Embassy of Austria have been successfully cooperating for many years and that Director Kuprešaković expressed his gratitude to the police attaché for the support they provide to the Border Police of BiH.
To their mutual satisfaction, they emphasized the importance and strengthening of the further maintenance of established professional ties and relationships, the press release from the Embassy of Austria concluded.
