TRAVNIK, May 12 (FENA) - On the occasion of the Europe Day celebration in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johann Sattler, head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU's special representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as 13 ambassadors and heads of missions of EU member states, visited Travnik on Friday , which this year, along with Jajce, was chosen as the central place of the celebration.
- I am happy that together with the heads of missions of EU member states, who come from all parts of Europe, from east to west - from Poland to Ireland, from north to south - from Sweden to Italy, I am celebrating Europe Day (in the historic cities of Jajce and Travnik). And I am happy that we are celebrating Europe Day with another country that has made a step towards EU membership - BiH and is looking forward to this day as an EU candidate - Sattler told reporters in Travnik.
He said that Travnik holds a special place for him, recalling that the city was the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina 150 years ago.
- It is a place that can attract more visitors. You have a fortress, a museum, and recently a pedestrian zone was opened and much more," said Sattler, who in Travnik attended a classical music concert of the Travnik Primary Music School, and also met with local entrepreneurs hosted by Snježana Köpruner, owner of GS - Travnik machine factories.
He also talked to the brave women of Kruščica, who prevented the construction of mini hydroelectric plants in their local area.
