SARAJEVO, May 5 (FENA) - The Day of Remembrance of the murdered children of the besieged Sarajevo from 1992 to 1995 was marked today at the Children's Square of Sarajevo with 1,601 children participating in the performance.
President of the Association of Parents of the Murdered Children of the Besieged Sarajevo, Fikret Grabovica, says that 1,601 children took part in today’s performance, which represents the number of children murdered during the siege of the city from 1992 to 1995.
As he said, the performance sends a message to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a universal way, 'because they have not filed a single indictment in the past three decades'.
Zdravka Gvožđar, the mother of Eldin Gvožđar, who was murdered in September 1992, emphasizes the importance of reaching justice and said that "we want someone to be held accountable for this crime against the children of Sarajevo."
