SARAJEVO, May 4 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, met today at the headquarters of the FBiH Government in Sarajevo with the head of the European Union Delegation and the EU's special representative in our country, Johann Sattler. During the meeting, which was also attended by the head of the political department in the EU Delegation, Elisabet Tomašinec, they discussed the priorities and strategic commitments of the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prime Minister Nikšić emphasized the necessity of dynamizing the activities of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in numerous areas, economic and social, as well as speeding up the energy and infrastructure projects that have started. In this context, Prime Minister Nikšić emphasized, financial and expert assistance from the EU will be of crucial importance.
Ambassador Sattler congratulated Prime Minister Nikšić on the election of the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and offered the support of the European Union to its work.
He emphasized several areas that will be of exceptional importance, which primarily refer to the field of energy and the process of its transition, the creation of assumptions for a more significant public-private partnership, and the fight against corruption, which should be accompanied by urgent legal and institutional assumptions.
Wishing success in his future work to Prime Minister Nikšić and the new Government of the Federation, Ambassador Sattler also announced the upcoming visit of EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi, who will present a new strategic package of the European Union with the aim of improving the European path of our country and its candidate status, announced the Office of the Government of FBiH for public relations.
