SARAJEVO, April 28 (FENA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković (NiP) said today in Sarajevo that the session of the BiH Council of Ministers, which was scheduled for yesterday, was not held because the SNSD ministers "for the first time until now, tried to play us".

Yesterday, the BiH Council of Ministers was supposed to consider, among other things, the draft basis for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of the Agreement between BiH and the Republic of Serbia on the construction of the gas pipeline "New Eastern Interconnection of BiH and the Republic of Serbia" and the Draft basis for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of the Agreement between BiH and the Republic of Croatia on the construction of the gas pipeline "Southern Interconnection of BiH and the Republic of Croatia".

Consideration of the Draft Law on Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Draft Law on the conclusion and execution of international agreements was foreseen.

- We had two interesting topics on which we had our requests - eastern and southern interconnection, for which, in agreement with the profession, we received guarantees that they can begin. The problem was because the eastern interconnection was done from the entity level. We return it to the institutions, we return it to the Council of Ministers of BiH, we harmonize it with our legislation. We are going from the state level to negotiate with Serbia on the implementation of that project - Minister Konaković said.

According to him, there was a request, and Minister Staša Košarac (SNSD) correctly positioned himself, that in those expert groups "there should be people from all sides, so that we don't make mistakes, that we use the interconnection to provide another arm towards Gradačac, that we talk about the valve in Brčko".

- We got the story we were looking for, we insisted that the southern one be an integral part, that we go into both, because there was resistance to that from the RS before. We agreed on that too. We agreed that the material on fuel quality, which is also supported by the Energy Community, will go - said Konaković.

But, he added, "on our side, there were demands that they support what they have not supported for a long time - the law on the HJPC, the law on foreign affairs, the law on international agreements, the procurement of helicopters".

- I think that progress can only be made in this type of agreement. We are ready to make agreements, never concessions to the detriment of the state. We had an agreement that it would be like that, and then yesterday at the College, Minister Zoran Tegeltija (SNSD) told Minister Zukan Helez (SDP) that they will not support these laws, which Nermin Nikšić and I discussed with Milorad Dodik. We said that this is not cooperation and we do not agree to that kind of blackmail. We invite them once again to continue discussions - Konaković said.

Yesterday, he pointed out, for the first time so far, they "tried to circumvent our agreement".

- That is why there was no session of the BiH Council of Ministers - Konaković concluded.
