SARAJEVO, April 25 (FENA) - A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke today with the Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Murphy, about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Michael Murphy said that the United States of America will protect Bosnia and Herzegovina and ensure that its sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character are preserved.
He pointed out the importance of the existence of functional, effective and responsible state institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The BiH Presidency member Bećirović and Ambassador Murphy agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America will defend the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Murphy reiterated that no entity or any other lower-level administrative unit in BiH has the right to secede or unite with some other state.
Bećirović thanked Murphy for the support the United States of America has provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Euro-Atlantic path and emphasized Bosnia and Herzegovina's unquestionable determination to achieve full membership in the European Union and NATO, stated the BiH Presidency.
