VLASENICA, April 23 (FENA) - The 19th collective funeral was held yesterday at Rakita Martyr's Cemetery in Vlasenica when the funeral service was led by Tuzla mufti Vahid ef. Fazlović.
Osmo Efendić, born in 1961, and 13-year-old Rahman Hrnjić were buried yesterday.
“What can I say after 31 years? They killed my 13-year-old son. Now I know where is his grave,” said Sadika Hrnjić, the mother of the brutally murdered Rahman.
FBiH Minister for Refugees and Displaced Persons Edin Ramić emphasized that Vlasenica is a place of enormous suffering for Bosniaks and that we must preserve the collective memory of the victims of aggression.
RS Vice President Ćamil Duraković commented on the fact that the mayor of Vlasenica is Miroslav Kraljević, who is accused of the most monstrous crimes. The trial is ongoing before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“That is our sad fact. Numerous people in institutions have been accused and prosecuted for crimes. This is our reality and there are fewer and fewer people who want to testify about crimes and prosecutors are less concerned with it, which for me is a civilizational defeat for all of us,” said Duraković.
The funeral service was led by the mufti of Tuzla, Vahid ef. Fazlović, and after the prayer, he told those present that there are a lot of difficulties in Vlasenica.
About 2,500 Bosniaks were killed in Vlasenica in the spring and summer of 1992. Dragan Nikolić, Predrag Bastah, and Goran Višković were convicted of monstrous crimes. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently conducting proceedings against several persons accused of crimes in Vlasenica.
