BIHAĆ, April 13 (FENA) - Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johann Sattler, presented a valuable donation to the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić" in Bihać. It is a cystoscope, the purchase of which was jointly financed by the European Union, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the UN in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“An extremely valuable device that will enable local patients to receive treatment in their city or canton, rather than having to travel to Sarajevo or somewhere else. The procurement of this cystoscope is only part of a much larger project of strengthening the local community, which has accepted numerous migrants in a humane and dignified manner. This is our contribution, considering that your humanity has been recognized by the whole world,” said Sattler.
General surgery specialist doc. dr. Hajrudin Halilović and his colleague specialist in children's surgery Damir Čirić talked about the importance of this donation.
“The importance of this donation, as well as any other help for all our patients, is immeasurable. I am not only referring to the citizens of the Una-Sana Canton but also the migrants who temporarily reside there, as well as numerous citizens of the European Union, guests and tourists who spend a certain amount of time here. We want to be a medical institution that can meet all challenges, so we are extremely grateful for this kind of support,” said doctor Halilović.
