SARAJEVO, March 30 (FENA) - A delegate of the Bosniak Caucus in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Džemal Smajić (Party for BiH) said after today's session that the delegates did not show solidarity with the citizens affected by inflation.

He emphasized that he voted to keep the same base salary of 535 KM for the elected officials and that he called for stopping the increase in their salaries during the discussion.

Smajić expressed his regret that the law on limiting salary increases for officials was not adopted and reminded that even the recent removal of the Excise Law from the agenda of the session is not a sign of solidarity with the citizens.

He believes that it is not fair that due to inflation, budgets are full and citizens are poorer.

He emphasized that he abstained when voting for the Budget for 2023 because he was not involved in its creation since the material for today's emergency session was delivered to them yesterday at 5 p.m.
