SARAJEVO, March 14 (FENA) - Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH, Ji Ping, and discussed the enhancement of cooperation between the two countries in the areas where the Ministry of Civil Affairs operates.
Most of the attention in the conversation was devoted to healthcare. The officials established that the Agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare is being successfully implemented. The special benefit of that agreement was visible during the pandemic when China sent significant donations of ventilators, vaccines and medical equipment to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Ji Ping emphasized the importance of the signed Agreement on cooperation in the field of education, the implementation of which is important for the recognition of diplomas and the exchange of students.
He emphasized the interest of Chinese citizens in learning the languages spoken in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina show an increasing interest in learning the Chinese language. He advocated the signing of a technology agreement as soon as possible, and the procedure was started in 2018.
Minister Bošnjak and Ambassador Ping also discussed the signed Memorandum of Understanding in the field of health and medicine, which encourages cooperation in the fields of health reform, medical education, scientific research, acupuncture and other forms of traditional Chinese medicine, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH said.
