Water level rise is forecast due to melting snow and precipitation in the Sava River Basin

SARAJEVO, March 9 (FENA) - A rise in water levels due to snowmelt and new precipitation is forecast in the entire water area of the Sava River Basin in the FBiH, especially on the rivers Bosna, Una and Sana, according to the notification on the forecast of the emergency hydrological state for the period of 10 until March 14, issued by the Sava River Basin Agency.

It is expected to reach the notification level about possible floods at the hydrological stations n the middle and lower part of the Bosna River Basin and the Una and Sana Basins in the FBiH.

In the next three days, an extraordinary hydrological situation is forecast, especially in the areas of the lower and middle part of the Bosna River Basin and the Una and Sana Basins.

The Agency suggests the competent institutions to monitor the situation on the ground and act in accordance with their authority.

The services that implement measures and activities for the protection and rescue of people and material goods are recommended to have increased caution.
