SARAJEVO/BERLIN, March 9 (FENA) - The tourism potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented on Wednesday at the world's largest travel fair - ITB Berlin. More than 50 German tour operators attended the presentation at the BiH stand, where the leading tourism actors - Visit Sarajevo, the Tourism Organization of the Republika Srpska, Fortuna Tours DMC - Mostar and the Tourism Cluster Herzegovina presented BiH tourist offer and destinations.
Visitors could also enjoy an excellent selection of food and taste wines from the wineries of the Wine Route of Herzegovina.
The Wine Route of Herzegovina was also presented as a tourist product that combines the heterogeneous offer of Herzegovina - gastronomy, wine and the tourist offer of historical, adventure and religious destinations.
The Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and USAID Tourism promote this tourist offer of BiH in partnership. In addition to presenting the impressive tourist attractions of BiH to international media and leading tour operators from around the world, it is expected, with the support of USAID Tourism, to establish partnerships with Tripadvisor, Expedia and UN Women, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH announced.
Two videos from Bosnia and Herzegovina nominated for the "Multimedia Tourism Award - The Golden City Gate" have been awarded. The awarded videos are Robert Dacešin's video "Why Bosnia and Herzegovina can be number 1 travel destination in the world?" and the video of the City of Trebinje "A place for all generations".
The Golden City Gate (or the City Gate Award) is a yearly organized event that presents the Multimedia Award for the tourism industry.
