BAKU/SARAJEVO, March 1 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović spoke today in Baku with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev about improving bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
A special emphasis was placed on the fields of energy, agriculture and tourism, and a visit by the delegation of the Government of Azerbaijan was agreed in order to present the potential for investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as preparations for the organization of a joint business forum, which was agreed at the meeting today.
Chairperson Cvijanović invited President Aliyev to his first official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. She informed the interlocutor that, based on the decision of the BiH Presidency, the BiH embassy in Azerbaijan will soon be opened, expressing the hope that this will create new perspectives for the improvement of cooperation.
She expressed her gratitude for the help that Azerbaijan sent to Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the floods and the coronavirus pandemic, as well as for the projects that were implemented with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
During the meeting, the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency informed the interlocutor about the current situation in BiH, and global and regional political, economic and security opportunities were also discussed, announced the Public Relations Service of the BiH Presidency.
