SARAJEVO, February 28 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, extended a congratulatory message on the occasion of March 1, the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
All citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who love and value our homeland should always be proud of the historical continuity of our country. We believed in our country even when it was the most difficult, and it persisted and survived when few believed it would happen. The international recognition of our country, which followed the vote for the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a fact that must be respected, but also an obligation for all of us to protect and develop our homeland.
I want the citizens' determination for a sovereign and independent Bosnia and Herzegovina, a state of equal citizens and peoples who live in it, expressed in the referendum on February 29 and March 1, 1992, to be an obligation that we should protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and those values and the rights of all its citizens and peoples.
To all who carry this country in their hearts, especially to those who defended it in the most difficult times, I wish a happy BiH Independence Day, with the most sincere wishes for a better future of our only homeland and all its citizens and peoples, stated the Prime Minister Novalić in his congratulatory message.
