SARAJEVO, February 23 (FENA) - Speaker of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, signed the decision today that the prime minister-designate of the new convocation of the SC Government is Nihad Uk.
Okerić told FENA that today he officially received a proposal for a new SC Government prime minister-designate from the caucuses in the SC Assembly - Our Party, SDP BiH, NiP and SBiH.
“After I introduced the leadership of the SC Assembly with the submitted proposal, I signed the decision that we all agree that Nihad Uk should be the prime minister-designate, as was the proposal of the parties,” said Okerić.
As of today, the prime minister-designate submits the names of the ministers of the Sarajevo Canton within 30 days, who will be appointed by the Assembly of the SC.
“We hope that by March 10 or 15, we will have a proposal from the SC Government, so that they can send it into the procedure and schedule a session of the SC Assembly, which should confirm the prime minister-designate and ministers in the SC Government for a mandate period of four years,” said Okerić.
He did not want to talk about the names of candidates for ministers, because, as he said, it will be discussed at the level of the coalition partners.
Nihad Uk confirmed this information on his FB profile.
“I was elected as a prime minister-designate for the formation of the new SC Government. I would like to thank the caucuses of Our Party, SDP, NiP and SBiH for their trust,” he wrote on his FB profile.
