ISTANBUL, February 17 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, met today in Istanbul with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and discussed the consequences of the earthquake that hit Turkey on February 6.
The President of the Republic of Turkey thanked the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all its citizens for the help with staff and material resources, emphasizing that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a small country, showed a high degree of solidarity with the Republic of Turkey.
BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić emphasized the unity of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in their commitment and intention to assist the victims in the Republic of Turkey.
Komšić and Erdogan also discussed the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special reference to the implementation of the election results, the Office of the BiH Presidency member announced.
It was emphasized that the bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey is at an extremely friendly level, as well as the mutual belief that the cooperation between the two countries will further strengthen in the future.
