SARAJEVO, February 8 (FENA) – Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sevlid Hurtić met with the head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the special representative of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Johann Sattler.
Hurtić thanked the European Union for granting the candidate status to Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed belief that the Ministry headed by him in the coming period will make great efforts to fulfill the obligations on the European path, especially those related to the fulfillment of 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Union.
Ambassador Sattler emphasized that the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees has an important role and obligations in fulfilling the priorities for our country's membership in the EU, and added that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to have strong support from the Delegation of the European Union.
The interlocutors agreed that it is important for the new government in Bosnia and Herzegovina to speed up activities to fulfill the assumed obligations, adopt laws and implement reforms, which will contribute to the progress of our country and a better life for all citizens.
