SARAJEVO, February 7 (FENA) - Representatives of the European Union and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) announced today in Sarajevo a public call for partnerships in the field of technological innovation worth 700,000 euros.
Upon the invitation, it is possible to submit project proposals to support innovative technological projects applicable in the industry through public-private and private-private partnerships between industry, associations, business networks and research and development institutions in the implementation of measures aimed at the technological transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in order to support their growth and application of their innovative solutions.
Head of the Operations Section for Economic Development, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure of the EU Delegation, Gilles Rebattet, explained at the presentation that it is necessary to support innovation for the transformation to a digital and green economy.
"This public call is focused on knowledge transfer and exchange with research and development organizations from the countries of the Western Balkans," added Rebattet.
The director of the program from GIZ, Eva Maria Nahler, said that they are looking forward to interesting projects that will be submitted through the public call and significant support from the media that will invite those interested to apply and help the development of business in the country.
The public call represents the effort of the "EU4DigitalSME" project, co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany, and implemented by GIZ, to increase the capacities of BiH to support the development of the private sector through innovation and digitalization.
