ZENICA, January 26 (FENA) - Miners of the Subsidiary Company of the Zenica Coal Mines Zenica, Stara jama and Raspotočje plants resumed production in the second shift today.
The miners received their December salary and one of the two unpaid meal allowances, while they have not still received the holiday allowance.
“I was with my colleagues and explained to them that it is necessary for us to continue working and for the management to find funds as soon as possible for the payment of holiday allowance and a meal allowance for one more month,“ said Elvedin Alić, president of the ‘Stara jama’ trade union in a statement for FENA.
The miners of Zenica expressed their disobedience by stopping production without the decision of the Trade Union on Monday, January 23.
