SARAJEVO, October 11 (FENA) - The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, based on established irregularities, issued an order on the recount of votes from 45 regular polling stations for the level of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, the National Assembly of the RS and cantonal assemblies.
Recounting will be done for 11 polling stations for BiH Parliament, 14 for the FBiH Parliament, 3 for RS National Assembly, and 17 for cantonal assemblies. The procedure will be carried out at the Main Counting Center in Zetra.
The public will be informed promptly about the start date of the Main Counting Center according to today's order of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this respect, CEC member Irena Hadžiabdić pointed out that there is a huge misunderstanding on the ground about what the CEC does.
“I am afraid that the amendments to the Electoral Law are very poorly followed and I want to draw the public's attention to the fact that the high representative introduced an amendment in Article 6.7 that gave us the possibility to order the counting centers to take measures to eliminate the identified irregularities,” said Hadžiabdić.
The aforementioned actions at this moment, as she points out, are necessary as a preliminary step to confirm the suspicion of improper counting or to determine the correct result.
It is known that in the Main Counting Center in Zetra on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. the opening of the bags and the official re-counting of ballots will begin at all regular polling stations in the Republika Srpska for the level of president and vice president of the Republika Srpska.
