SARAJEVO, September 5 (FENA) - Acting as part of a 24-hour prosecutor's duty, the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in contact and coordination with the police officers of the Border Police of BiH, coordinated the activities to discover and deprive the citizen of BiH, suspected of smuggling 48 foreign nationals who did not have identification documents.
Smuggling of migrants was detected and prevented in the border zone in the area of Gradiška on the way out of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The mentioned persons were discovered during the border control of a bus, which was driven by a national of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the order of the prosecutor on duty, police officers of the BiH Border Police will prepare a detailed report on the committed criminal offense of human smuggling, which they will submit to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for further processing.
The apprehended illegal migrants, according to the collected evidence as well as their statements, come from Afghanistan (21), Pakistan (8) and Bangladesh (19), and they were handed over to the Service for Foreigners Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further processing.
