Delegation of US Congress visits Mostar

MOSTAR, September 2 (FENA) - The delegation of the US Congress led by Michael Turner visited Mostar and met with the mayor Mario Kordić and the president of the Mostar City Council, Salem Marić, as part of their visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Together with the hosts, the delegation toured the city, and discussed all aspects of life in Mostar.

The visit was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Deborah Mennuti, who, together with the President of the City Council, Salem Marić, visited and laid flowers at the Partisan Memorial Cemetery.

Marić informed Mennuti about the events, history, and importance of the Partisan Memorial Cemetery for Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina and informed him about the plans for its reconstruction, the City Council of Mostar announced.
