VIŠEGRAD, August 10 (FENA) - A state of natural disaster has been declared in the territory of the Municipality of Višegrad due to heavy rain, and a session of the Assembly is underway at which a decision should be made on approving financial resources for repairing the damage caused.
The wider area of Višegrad was hit by a severe storm yesterday, and at the meeting of the Crisis Staff, after receiving information from the field, a decision was made to declare a state of natural disaster.
Višegrad was hit by heavy rain, and torrential waters in certain settlements of the municipality, and when the rain stopped, numerous landslides were triggered.
Mayor of Višegrad Municipality, Mladen Đurević, pointed out that the population contacted him and his associates, and that urgent repair of the damage, especially on the roads, is required.
Due to the heavy rain that affected the area of Višegrad on Monday, August 8, there was also an interruption in the electricity supply, so the power distribution teams are also on the ground.
