MOSTAR, July 13 (FENA) – Eighteen forest fires were registered in the area of the Herzegovina-Neretva in the past 24 hours.
Firefighters intervened in the areas of Mostar, Čapljina, Neum and Jablanica, according to the report of the Operational Center of Civil Protection Service.
Grass, low vegetation and waste were burning in majority of the cases, and in some places, firefighters were on duty even after the fire was extinguished to prevent its reactivation.
