PRAGUE / SARAJEVO, June 28 (FENA) - Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković, during an official visit to the Czech Republic, met in Prague with members of the Interparliamentary Group of Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Czech Parliament.
During the meeting with parliamentarians Peter Fifk, Karel Haas and Jan Hoffmann, economic and security challenges in Europe were discussed. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the Czech presidency of the Council of the European Union, which begins on July 1 this year, and on EU enlargement and the position of the Western Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Turković also met with members of the Czech academic community, Dr. Market Slavkov, prof. František Šistek and prof. Zora Hesova, who during their academic work, among other things, significantly dealt with topics related to BiH.
The professors presented their work to the Minister, which is related to our country, announced future activities, while Minister Turković spoke about the importance of engaging members of the academic community in better understanding the situation in our country, and presented the current situation in BiH.
Minister Turković also met with Tarik Altumbabić, President of the newly established Czech-Bosnian Chamber of Commerce, who lives in Prague and works on economic connection between the two countries, but also on attracting investments to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH MFA said.
