SARAJEVO, June 22 (FENA) - The Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has handed down a second instance verdict sentencing Dušan Sladojevicć, Slavko Aleksić and Risto Lečić to five months in prison each for inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance at a meeting of the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement in March 2019 in Višegrad.

The BIRN portal Detektor.ba states that in a first degree verdict handed down today by Judge Azra Miletić, the Appellate Division found that Sladojević, Aleksić and Lečić glorified the Chetnik movement and Draža Mihailović with their activities at a gathering organized by the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement by singing songs that call for threats and violence in their text, they committed the crime of "inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance."

Detektor.ba states that the trial began in July 2021, and with the first instance verdict from December last year, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina acquitted them of charges of participating in a gathering in Višegrad on March 10, 2019, organized by the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement of the "Fatherland of Srpska", and then glorifying the movement in speeches at the Dobrunska River site, known as Draževina (named after Serbian Chetnik movement commander in WWII, war criminal Draža Mihailović), thus causing unrest and fear among the population, especially the returnees.

Sladojević was then acquitted of the charges, as the president of the "Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement", he addressed the audience after the line-up and handed over the report to the accused Aleksić, while a song with verses that provoke fear was played in the background.

It is stated that there is a possibility of appealing the second instance verdict to the Third Instance Division of the Court of BiH.
