SARAJEVO / ZAGREB, June 15 (FENA) - General Manager of FBiH Railways Enis Džafić and CEO of HŽ Passenger Transport Željko Ukić met today in Zagreb and reached an agreement on introduction of a seasonal train on the route Sarajevo-Ploče.
The train will run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from July 1 to September 11, 2022. According to the FBiH Railways, the public will be informed in a timely manner about the exact timetable and ticket prices. The promotional ride has been announced for July 1 this year.
“We have reached an agreement with the Croatian Railways and again, after eight and a half years, we are reopening the rail line Sarajevo - Ploče - Sarajevo. FBiH Railways are the backbone of the development of the BiH economy, and in addition to the records we set in freight traffic, it is extremely important to maintain existing and return new lines in domestic and international passenger traffic. Earlier, by introducing combined transport, we managed to enable the departure to the Adriatic Sea in the summer season,” said Enis Džafić, General Manager of the FBiH Railways.
