MOSTAR, May 29 (FENA) - The Classic Car Museum, the first museum of its kind in BiH, opened its doors on Saturday to lovers of classic cars from Mostar, BiH and the entire region.

President of the Classic Cars Club Mostar Zdravko Vidović said that drivers of classic cars from Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy came to the opening ceremony, and about 150 cars were exhibited.

“Here you can see a lot of valuable exhibits, such as the 1927 Ford T or the 1962 Jaguar MK10, which is one of the few exhibits in Europe. We have cars that are 80 to 100 years old, and people traveled 800 kilometers to come to Mostar,” Vidović emphasized.

He said that this is the first time in Europe that classic cars club is opening its own museum, because in most cases these are private museums owned by collectors. The museum space will be open not only to fans of classic cars but also to young artists.

“In this space we open the door to young artists, especially those who do not have the financial ability to rent space. The door is open to everyone for education, exhibitions, socializing and the like, because we did this to let young people see what culture was like 50 or 100 years ago, how people lived without electronic devices, how they could find and connect. We want to leave something to people and generations to come,” said the president of the Mostar Classic Cars Club.

He added that there is no idea without love, and that the most important is to love what you do, to love your city and your country.

“Today, Mostar is a small Europe. We will rarely see so many classic cars from all over the Balkans in one place. This is an indication that the Classic Cars Club Mostar enjoys great respect. We have heart and soul, we love what we do and we are glad that people are coming to Mostar,” he said.
