SARAJEVO, May 17 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik told reporters after today's session of the Presidency of BiH that he asked for the resignation of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Šefik Džaferović.

Dodik stated that Džaferović "violated the provisions of Article 6 of the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution because he acts unilaterally outside the Rules of Procedure, which clearly states that the presidency as a whole represents the presidency and not himself or policies he advocates for."

“We held the Presidency session with the well-known agenda, but the main thing we tried to discuss here and which is why I asked Džaferović to resign is because he acted against the Constitution. He acts unilaterally,” Dodik said following the Presidency session on Tuesday.

As he said prior to the UN Security Council session on Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Džaferović presented his own positions there."

“If he does not do resign by next week, I will demand his dismissal,” said Dodik.

Dodik said that neither the BiH Presidency nor the BiH Council of Ministers have ever made any decision to join any of the sanctions of the West against Russia.

"That's how it will stay. There is not a single document anywhere," he said.

Asked about the financing of the General Elections, Dodik said that the SNSD would go to the polls and that it opposes any postponing of the elections.

"We want the elections t to be held on October 2," he stated.

As for the financing of the elections, he says that it is absolutely clear that there is a prescribed procedure for that and it is clear that everything can be held in accordance with that procedure.

"Džaferović or Komšić proposed a conclusion that the Council of Ministers should be obliged to do that today. In any case, it was agreed that, having in mind that today is the session of the Council of Ministers, we will wait so that there will be no pressure on the Council of Ministers and after that, we will consult by phone on how to proceed," said Dodik.
