SARAJEVO, January 14 (FENA) - Members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of this month, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain to Bosnia and Herzegovina Matthew Field announced today.
As he wrote on his official Twitter account, they will visit BiH as part of the growing engagement and focus of Great Britain on Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The British Parliament on two occasions had a special debate on the political situation in BiH when, among other things, it was pointed out that more than 26 years ago, the same hatred and nationalism led to bloodshed in BiH, and most MPs were unanimous that the Presidency member and the leader of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, is the main creator of the current crisis.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has appointed Stuart Peach as Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, as part of Britain's continued commitment to stability and prosperity in the region.
Earlier, FENA learned at the UK Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina that the United Kingdom has a number of tools, including sanctions, and is working closely with partners such as the United States to ensure they perform best in BiH and across the region.
"It is crucial that all friends of BiH have a united position and that they send an unquestionable message of commitment to the sovereignty and integrity of the country, opposing hate speech and divisions," stated the embassy.
