SARAJEVO, December 9 (FENA) - At its session today, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Law on Amendments to the Law on Allocation of a Part of the Revenues from Hydro Accumulation Facilities.
Since the previous law, municipalities in whose area the land was flooded for hydro-accumulation, part of the revenue was charged exclusively on the basis of the amount of electricity produced or water used, but the amended law introduces the evaluation of flooded area as the most important factor, pointed out the proposer of this law, delegate Stipan Šarac.
Regardless of the amount of electricity produced, the hydro-accumulation occupies the area and it is necessary to determine the minimum amount of compensation for the local community, he added, and the amended law regulates the guaranteed minimum amount of compensation on that basis in the amount of 1,500 KM per hectare of the flooded area, regardless of the amount of electricity produced or water consumed.
