UN Secretary-General's envoy visits BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs

SARAJEVO, November 18 (FENA) - Jayathma Wickramanayake, United Nations Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth, together with representatives of UN agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Ministry of Civil Affairs. This is the first visit of one of the envoys of the UN Secretary General for Youth Affairs to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting with the representatives of the Ministry, they discussed the reform processes, the challenges facing the education system in BiH, with a special focus on COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the migration of young people from BiH.

Support was expressed for the activities carried out by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in cooperation with the competent authorities at all levels in BiH.

It was concluded that the cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs and UN agencies regarding education and youth is continuous, long-standing and stable, and the expectation is expressed that it will continue in the future, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH said.
