ZENICA, November 3 (FENA) - After the completion of the reconstruction project, which was jointly financed by the Turkish Military Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, 73 students of the Secondary Music School attended classes in the school premises today, for the first time this school year.
Minister of Education of ZDC Spahija Kozlić, Head of the Turkish Military Mission in BiH, Brigadier Barisa Konak and the school principal Arnes Bajramović attended the solemn opening of the premises.
“I am really glad that as a representative of the Turkish people and one of its inseparable parts - the Turkish Army, which has implemented over 700 projects in BiH since 1993, aimed at developing the socio-cultural and economic situation of society as a whole, I can attend this ceremony. The Turkish and Bosnian peoples are deeply bound by a common history and unbreakable, centuries-old ties. Our friendship and brotherhood, which dates back to the distant past, will continue in the future and will last forever,” said Konak.
Minister Kozlić reminded that numerous projects, especially in the field of education, are being implemented jointly with the Turkish Military Mission in BiH, the Yunus Emre Institute, the Government of Turkey therefore we consider them "an integral part of that ministry".
Renovation of this Zenica school, in which the carpentry was replaced, a new facade was done and the interior of the building and toilets were renovated, cost a total of around 70,000 KM. Most of that money, somewhere around 50,000 KM, as Minister Kozlić pointed out, was provided by the Turkish military mission.
He noted that at the same time the ministry is implementing the renovation of 20 school and university facilities as part of the "Energy Efficiency" project, but also with other organizations - Caritas, the Embassy of the United States of America, the Embassy of Qatar ...
School principal Bajramović thanked the donors and reminded that the Turkish Military Mission in BiH participated in the renovation of this building in 1996, immediately after the war in BiH.
