SARAJEVO, October 20 (FENA) - The Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Our Party (NS) agreed on coordinated joint action at the level of the European Union (EU) institutions, the parties said.
It was agreed to use the partnerships and influences that the parties have at the level of the European Parliament and other EU institutions, in order to focus on topics related to the current crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We believe that the current crisis we are going through is no longer just a political, but also a serious security threat. If we want to prevent further decline of European values in this area, we must start calling things by their real names. Having in mind the fact that the escalation of the political crisis in BiH is connected with its departure from the path of European integration, the European Union must take a clear position and determine a special approach towards our country,” the SDP and Our Party said.
In the coming days, a joint action towards members of the European Parliament will follow, which will very clearly explain the scale of the current crisis, the positions of actors, security challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also require concrete engagement.
The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a member of the Party of European Socialists, while Our Party is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe.
