SARAJEVO, October 15 (FENA) - BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović said today that all possible ways and mechanisms should be used to stabilize the current situation in BiH without the High Representative's reaction.
Džaferović commented to reporters on the statements of BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik.
“I think that Dodik is doing a futile job that can not bring the results he expects but leads us all to a kind of destabilization and I use this opportunity to invite him to stop doing that and to come here to the Presidency, for MPs to go to parliament, ministers in the Council of Ministers, to work on reforms in BiH, the realization of 14 priorities, to fulfill our obligations from the reform program towards NATO, we are dealing with the economy,” said Džaferović.
According to him, what Dodik is doing cannot be good for anyone, and it can also harm the entity he represents.
“To talk about the readiness to respect the Dayton Peace Agreement, and to demand that we return to the situation that was in 1996, is basically against the Dayton Peace Agreement. To challenge the role of the High Representative is against the Dayton Agreement, and that is an anti-Dayton activity, as well as to challenge the Constitutional Court of BiH,” stated Džaferović.
The Dayton Peace Agreement is a difficult compromise and a balance in which, as he added, everything must be respected.
He made the remarks after meeting between the members of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Linhart.
“Austria strongly supports BiH, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, reforms, European and NATO path of BiH and that was clearly stated at today's meeting,” stated Džaferović.
