SARAJEVO, October 6 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH has provided direct financial assistance in the amount of 230 million KM from the FBiH Budget this year to support lower levels of government in FBiH, of which 200 million KM is assistance to the cantons and 30 million KM to the municipalities.
The decisions on this assistance were made by the Government last month, and contracts are being signed with the cantons, municipalities and cities.
"The implementation of the decisions of the Government of the Federation of BiH from September 2 and 16, 2021 begins, approving the grants of a total of 200 million KM for ten cantons, and 30 million KM for 80 municipalities and cities," said the FBiH Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević.
The funds of 200 million KM are intended to help the cantons' budgets, for the implementation of structural reforms, and for overcoming the social, economic and health consequences of the pandemic, as well as infrastructure projects.
