OHR rejects insinuations that Inzko's decision is directed against one nation

FENA Fedzad Forto

SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) - The Office of the High Representative rejects any kind of potential insinuation that would claim that the amendments passed today by High Representative Valentin Inzko are directed against one of the three nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The High Representative has made it clear that his interventions in the Criminal Code have nothing to do with collective guilt, stating that “Bosniaks, Croats and Serbs are good peoples.

The amendments to the Law refer to individual responsibility, and any kind of potential manipulation that would claim that these legislative amendments are directed against one of the three peoples in BiH is rejected in advance, FENA learns from the Office of the High Representative in a response to the request for a comment on the announcement of the iH Presidency member Milorad Dodik that the RS will initiate a dissolution process and block the work of the BiH institutions (Prosecutor's Office, SIPA) on the territory of the entity of RS after High Representative Valentin Inzko announced the amendments to the Criminal Code banning genocide denial.
