VAREŠ, July 14 (FENA) - President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Čavara visited the Municipality of Vareš today, where he talked with Mayor Zdravko Marošević about all the problems they face, as well as about the Eastern Mining project - the restoration of the zinc, lead and barite mines.
Čavara emphasized that this company has shown great sensitivity and social responsibility towards the environment in which it operates, and that they are ready to help significant projects. He pointed out that the mayor presented the projects that the company supported.
Čavara points out, however, that the debt that the Municipality of Vareš has not yet been resolved and that they will try to find a way to help them at the FBiH level.
Mayor Marošević explained that Vareš has problems with the stabilization of the budget and the financial situation, which was influenced by the pandemic, but also by the reduced number of arrivals from the diaspora.
However, he stressed that certain indicators state that there are already people interested in buying land in order to build production halls, as well as in buying real estate, which, as he says, is a sign that 'life is coming back to Vareš'.
"Vareš has a lot to offer and I assure you that this project is very important for BiH," concluded the mayor.
