POTOČARI, July 11 (FENA) - Numerous officials attended commemoration today at the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center of those killed in the heinous genocide committed in 1995 under the flag of the United Nations.
Among them were members of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić, Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Bakir Izetbegović, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA Denis Zvizdić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Bisera Turković, Minister of Security Selmo Cikotić, Minister of Defense Sifet Podžić and SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić.
Čedomir Jovanović and Nenad Čanak from Serbia, President of Montenegro Milo Djukanović and Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Dritan Abazović were also present at the commemoration. On this occasion, members of the Montenegrin Parliament handed over a copy of the Resolution on genocide in Srebrenica to the Potočari Memorial Center.
The commemorative session was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto, Member of the Assembly and President of the People and Justice Party Elmedin Konaković and the Mayor of Sarajevo Benjamina Karić, as well as numerous other representatives of the international community in BiH.
On the eve of the commemoration, Izetbegović once again warned of the ubiquitous denial of genocide in Srebrenica, which is an internationally and legally established fact.
He said it was a capricious, malicious and pointless policy of the Serbian regime, but all that was done to get the world moving, adding that that this policy would eventually remain alone in denying it.
Izetbegović called on still incumbent High Representative in BiH to finally impose a law banning genocide denial, recalling that he has 20 days left in his term before he leaves the office.
