Nikšić: SDP BiH launches healthcare rationalization in FBiH

SARAJEVO, June 14 (FENA) - President of the Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP) Nermin Nikšić said at today's party press conference that the first step towards rationalization of the Federation of BiH is the health system since "it does not work very well and it doesn't give good results. "

"For many years now, Jasmin Imamović and his team have been doing analysis and have done very good work while trying to solve the issue of the national organization of FBiH," said Nikšić.

Mayor of Tuzla, Jasmin Imamović, emphasized that the Federation has 35 extra-budgetary funds in which there is an entire army of paid members and presidents, and that is why, as he claims, rationalization is needed.

He also states that BiH has 11 constitutions and 11 legal systems.

"That causes the bad status of cities. Only eight percent of the budget comes from cities, and in Europe it is up to 35 percent. Immobility is created and leads to damage. Inequality of the people is present, and the best example is the health system. Citizens cannot receive health care for the money paid, and they can only use it within the cantons. Citizens do not have the same right to health care. Many citizens within their canton do not have all the conditions for treatment, but they cannot be treated in other cantons," Imamović emphasized.

He is of the opinion that no one can follow how money is spent in 11 health insurance institutes.
