SARAJEVO, June 2 (FENA) - Thanks to the team of the company EMT Solar, the construction of a solar power plant on the territory of Goražde is currently underway, where a special adjustable steel structure was just delivered, the first of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The investor has set a project task of building a seasonally adjustable structure in extreme conditions.
"The special feature of this construction is that it satisfies the extreme conditions of operation at a location at close to 1,200 meters above sea level, while retaining the functionality of seasonal adjustment. This construction is the result of domestic production and was made on the most modern machines made of European primary steel in the 'Ferretto' plant in Tešanj," said Ekrem Mušić, an expert in solar energy.
The construction is unique because it is seasonally adjustable, and as such gives about 20 percent better yields than structures with a fixed angle and slope. The construction has three positions for four seasons, it is steel and robust, galvanized, intended for geographical areas with extreme weather conditions (up to -30 degrees Celsius) with a 15-year warranty. It is domestically produced and the given model is fixed on two rows of pillars that are mounted on concrete anchors, which makes this construction very stable.
This project was implemented with the technical support of the USAID 'Diaspora Invest' project within the activities of support for knowledge transfer and investment initiation of the BiH diaspora.
Mušić returned to BiH after 19 years of working abroad and decided to help exploit the potential that solar energy has for BiH.
"At the beginning of 2020, we gathered a team that specializes in the service and construction of solar photovoltaic power plants and that's how our story started," says Mušić.
EMT Solar is building solar power plants of high quality and durability according to the highest EU construction standards, said the USAID.
