SARAJEVO, May 30 (FENA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that an extremely important session of the BiH Council of Ministers is scheduled for tomorrow.
“Not only because we decide on a number of issues whose consequences will be felt directly by the citizens of BiH and the sectors of the economy most severely affected by the pandemic, but it is also important due to the fact that we are once again fighting against attempts to drag us into the political trade in the interests of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina," she pointed out.
Turković clarified, among other things, that there are three proposals on the agenda.
“We will first vote on the proposal of the Chairman Zoran Tegeltija to extend the preferential treatment of domestic companies in public procurement for another year. We made that decision together last year to help the domestic economy during the difficult period of the pandemic, even though we all knew we were risking a reaction from the European Union. Personally, I think that our economy still needs this help, but I am not sure that everyone in the Council of Ministers of BiH thinks so, and the outcome of the vote is very uncertain,” she said.
After that, Turković points out that BiH CoM will vote on the proposal to facilitate the entry of foreigners into BiH by recognizing vaccination certificates and rapid antigen tests.
Finally, Turković added, the BiH Council of Ministers will vote again on a proposal to ease the visa regime for the United Kingdom and Ireland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
She called on the ministers to adopt all three decisions in the package tomorrow and thus do what the citizens ask of them, and that is to help the economy and recover from the consequences of the pandemic and show readiness to work together in the interest of all citizens, Minister Turković published on the social networks.
