SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) - The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina without discussion supported the principles of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Foreigners, proposed by the House of Representatives.
The changes are aimed at achieving the effect of deterring migrants from committing crimes and misdemeanors with the characteristics of violence and violations of public order and peace during their stay in BiH.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Denis Zvizdić (SDA), on whose proposal this bill was adopted, explained the proposed solutions to the House of Peoples, saying that the House of Representatives, along with this law, adopted a conclusion instructing the BiH Ministry of Security to as soon as possible, expand the capacities of the Immigration Center, as a specialized institution for the reception and accommodation of foreigners, which by the decision of the competent authority in BiH has been ordered to be placed under supervision in accordance with the Law on Foreigners.
Those migrants who reside in BiH and respect all regulations i.e. do not commit misdemeanors and criminal offenses, they will still have all the necessary protection from domestic authorities, which is guaranteed by international regulations and domestic legislation, it is stated in the explanation of the proposed law.
