SARAJEVO, February 18 (FENA) - At today's session, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Law on the Single Register of Taxes and Fees in FBiH, proposed by the FBiH Government.
The law was accepted without discussion, and according to the explanation of the Deputy Prime Minister and the FBiH Minister of Finance, Jelka Milićević, it should create a more favorable business environment for potential foreign investors and domestic economic entities.
The law prescribes the establishment of the Single Register in the area to which it refers, as well as the obligation to update it regularly in order to simplify business activities for these entities.
At this session, the delegates also approved the Draft Law on Air Protection in FBiH.
It was decided that the act would be in public debate for two months before it is sent to further parliamentary procedure.
FBiH Minister of Tourism and Environment Edita Djapo explained that the FBiH Government also proposed the act since the current Law on Air Protection was passed in 2003 and amended in 2010, which is why new legislation should be established, especially in establishing an integrated air quality monitoring system.
The new law further harmonizes the provisions with European legislation and creates preconditions for more efficient implementation of the obligations that Bosnia and Herzegovina has undertaken by ratifying the relevant agreements with international partners, said Minister Djapo.
