SARAJEVO, January 13 (FENA) - Mayor of the Municipality of Ilidža Nermin Muzur with the Managing Director of the Public Company Motorways of the Federation of BiH Adnan Terzić and the Director of the contractor Euro-Asfalt Sarajevo, Hamed Ramić today marked the official beginning of the construction of the Sarajevo bypass, subsection LOT-3B as an integral part of the Corridor Vc, at the location of the Vlakovo interchange.
Terzić points out that the timely completion of works on the section requires the support of the local community, owners of networks such as PTT, electrical and plumbing installations, sewerage and other urban infrastructure.
"The most important thing is that after three years of work, we managed to award the contract, which should primarily ensure that business people, companies and citizens, who gravitate towards this area, stop being hostages of the administration's inability to complete necessary projects. We finally selected the contractor and signed the contract and I believe that there will be no problems when it comes to deadlines," concluded Terzić.
Director of Euro-Asphalt, Hamed Ramić explained that the section will have four traffic lanes, will be 1,800 meters long and will have two viaducts, and noise protection panels will be installed along its entire length because it will pass through the populated area.
"The section will start from the roundabout of the A1 motorway in Vlakovo, to the roundabout at the Mostar intersection. The value of the works is 21 million KM. If the Municipality and the owners of the installations cooperate with us and solve the problems in a timely manner, we will complete the section in this construction season, i.e. by the end of November," said Ramić.
Mayor of Ilidža, Nermin Muzur points out that the section is of great importance for this municipality due to the connection and acceleration of road communication with the Corridor Vc, as well as for the population of Blažuj who have to use some old roads and bypasses to pass through the industrial zone.
