POSUŠJE, January 4 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, paid tribute today and laid wreaths in Rakitno for the tragically killed young people in the accident that happened on January 1.
“We came to Posušje to express our sincere condolences to the families and parents, brothers and sisters of the deceased, but also to all citizens of Posušje, although this accident is an accident for the whole of BiH and I would say for the whole world. May they rest in peace,” said Novalić at the last farewell of young people.
He added that he has never heard in his life that such a large number of young people died in one day, and that speaks volumes about the scale of this tragedy.
“Numerous messages of condolence arrived from Croatia, Slovenia and many other countries. The scale of this accident is very large,” Novalić concluded.
In the morning of January 1, eight bodies of young people were found in a weekend house near Posušje, and it is assumed that the cause of death was suffocation by gas from the generator.
By the decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH, today is the Day of Mourning in FBiH due to this tragedy.
