MOSTAR, December 16 (FENA) - The non-partisan #TvojGlasJeBitan (your voice is important) campaign was conducted in Mostar in recent days, and a survey conducted as part of the campaign showed that as many as 81 percent of Mostar citizens will go to the polls for the Mostar City Council on December 20.
“The polls we conducted in Mostar definitely show above-average interest in participating in the election process and we can definitely expect, despite the pandemic, a large turnout of Mostar citizens in the local elections,” said campaign coordinator Nermin Topovčić.
In a survey conducted as part of the #TvojGlasJeBitan campaign, 81 percent of respondents said they would go to the polls, 16 percent would not, and 3 percent were undecided, the statement said.
“Local elections are extremely important for solving problems at the local level, and our quality of life is mostly influenced by local self-government. The city of Mostar has many problems to solve at the local level, and one of them is definitely the problem of garbage disposal, which is the responsibility of local government. December 20 is a historic day for the city of Mostar and I invite all Mostar men and women to look up the programs and candidates, go to the polls and vote. I am telling those who don’t vote not to complain in the next four years,” Topovčić added.
The non-partisan campaign #TvojGlasJeBitan was created as a kind of reaction to the results of the 2018 elections, and following the example of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was also established in Serbia and Montenegro.
