MOSTAR, November 1 (FENA) - The Croat National Assembly (HNS) in BiH issued a press release supporting France and President Macron's fight against, as they stated, "Islamic terrorism they are facing these days".
As the umbrella political institution of Croats in BiH, the HNS BiH provides full support to French President Emmanuel Macron in the fight against Islamic terrorism.
“Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina felt the effects of extreme Islamist activity during the 1992-1995 war in BiH, especially the 1997 car bomb attack in Mostar, the killing of Croat police officers in Central Bosnia, and the killing of members of the Andjelić family on Christmas Eve 2002,” stated the HNS.
As they pointed out, Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina are strong supporters of the country's European path.
We deeply believe that, together with our partners from the EU, we can help keep the space of Europe, which is a kind of cradle of Western civilization, as a crossroads of different cultures and religions that will be ready to accept the European way of life.
“The Croat National Assembly expresses its deepest condolences to the people of France, and especially to the families of the victims of this terrorist act, and we truly regret that Islamic terrorism has taken away their loved ones. Our sympathy is greater especially because we experienced and felt the consequences of Islamic terrorism during and after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina," the HNS BiH announced.
