SARAJEVO, September 28 (FENA) - On the occasion of a quarter of a century since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the People's Republic of China, the proceeding "25 years of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and BiH. Belt and Road and Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries: BiH Perspective" was published.
This is a pioneering project which, for the first time since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 3, 1995, scientifically researches relations between the two countries in a multidisciplinary manner, with suggestions on how to enhance cooperation, announced the Center for Promotion and Development of Belt and Road Initiative from Sarajevo (CBRI).
The proceeding was designed in cooperation between the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in BiH, the Chinese Academy for Social Sciences (CASS), i.e. its Institute for Central and Eastern Europe (China-CEE Institute) and the Center for Promotion and Development of the Belt and Road Initiative from Sarajevo.
“The main principle of political relations between the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina in this period was and remains - mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, in accordance with international law, the Dayton Peace Agreement, the integration path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in accordance with the five principles of peace coexistences that define the foreign policy of the People's Republic of China,” said in his introductory speech the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Šefik Džaferović.
The authors of the texts in this collection are professors from BiH universities, middle-generation researchers who have been dedicated to studying China and BiH's relations with China for many years, as well as younger ones who are making the first significant steps on the academic scene. In this collection you can find works of Mladen Ivanić, Aleksandar Savović, Miloš Šolaja, Anja Mudrenović, Vladimir Simović, Faruk Borić, Ljiljana Stević, Igor Solda, Muamer Hirkić and Miroslav Živanović. The editor of the Proceeding is Faruk Borić. The project partner is the Institute for Central and Eastern Europe of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CEEC-CASS). The project was supported by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in BiH.
